“Fantasia” by Erté is a limited-edition, pencil-signed, and numbered serigraph also known as a screenprint. The artwork was published by Chalk & Vermilion, NY, and printed by Chromacomp, NY. 1982. The artwork is in very fine condition. I acquired the artwork from the Dyansen Gallery, New York in 1994.  

About Romain de Tirtoff  nee’ Erté

Romain de Tirtoff (famously known as simply, Erté) was a designer and sculptor born in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1892. He was most famous for his fashion designs and was often called “The Father of Art Deco.” He was a costume and set designer, and some of the most notable silent films he worked on included Paris, Ben Hur, and Dance Madness.
