Iskei Pyxx III is an original colored etching created by Japanese artist Kunito Nagaoka in 1984. Pencil-signed, dated, and numbered in the lower left; artist’s chop in the lower right, “Original Print Kunito Nagaoka”; printer’s chop in lower left “Radierwerkstatt Schlemme Berlin.” A very good clean surface, this piece has been stored in an architectural flat file drawer in a smoke-free adult environment. All of our prints are kept in tissue and/or plastic sleeves and mailed flat to ensure safe travels.

About Kunito Nagaoka
Nagaoka was a print-maker, painter, and educator who was born in Nagano Prefecture, Japan in 1940. He worked as a graphic designer in Tokyo for three years before moving to Berlin in 1966. He studied graphic, print, and advertising in the Print Department at the State Academy, and later in the Print and Painting Department of State Academy of Fine Arts. He earned his Master’s Degree under Professor Gerhard Bergmann in 1976. It should be noted that he studied etching with Louis Kohnke-Duwell.
