Edward Sharland

An English and landscape etcher, Edward W. Sharland was a full member of the Fine Art Trade Guild. His etchings were exhibited in Liverpool. His works were exhibited at the Royal West of England Academy and the Royal Academy. His etchings include architectural renderings of France, Italy, Spain, London, and Holland.  Sharland was well-traveled and created etchings in Spain, Italy, and Belgium. He created many works in London, Liverpool, and Bristol. Sharland as an etcher is best known for his architectural studies of churches. His line quality, shading, and detailing of the church convey a sense of peacefulness. The church is warm, cozy, and tranquil.
